On Sundays, drop-in sessions are open from 9 am to 1 pm. It’s worth noting that players need to bring their own balls for these drop-in sessions.

Indoor Pickleball at Simms Street Recreation Center

Simms Street Recreation Center also offers indoor pickleball drop-in sessions from November to March. The drop-in fees vary depending on age and residency, ranging from $4.50 to $6.25. Additionally, the center accepts various passes, such as Silversneakers, Renew Active, and other insurance-based memberships. The drop-in hours are from 1-3 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 12-3 pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Indoor Pickleball at Secrest Recreation Center

Secrest Recreation Center provides another indoor pickleball option. Drop-in fees at this location range from $4.50 to $6.25, depending on age and residency. Similar to the other centers, Secrest Recreation Center accepts Silversneakers, Renew Active, and other insurance-based memberships. The drop-in hours at this location are from 11 am to 2 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Marquardt-Miles Outdoor Pickleball Court

If you prefer playing outdoors, Marquardt-Miles offers outdoor pickleball courts. During the resurfacing period from July 5th to the first week of August, some courts may be closed temporarily. It’s essential to be respectful of reservations and display your receipt to anyone who may be on a court you’ve reserved. In case of any issues, guest services at Simms Street Recreation Center can assist you.

Pickleball Court Availability and Fees

From April to October, prime-time hours at Apex Center are between 8 am and 12 pm (April, May, September, October), and between 7-11 am (June, July, August). During these hours, four courts are available for drop-ins and four courts can be rented. Additionally, there are 16 courts reserved for Apex Programming. If there are no programming activities scheduled, these reserved courts can be utilized by drop-ins and reservations. Fees and times for court rentals and drop-ins are subject to change, so it is advisable to check with the facility beforehand.

Pickleball Leagues, Tournaments, and Mixers

For pickleball enthusiasts seeking a more competitive experience, there are various options available. Apex Center offers spring, summer, and fall pickleball leagues. These leagues run for six weeks, with 10 games followed by playoffs. Different divisions are available on each day of the week, catering to different skill levels and genders. Pickleball Skills and Drills

To improve your pickleball game, Apex Center offers skills and drills classes. These sessions cater to advanced beginners, intermediate, and intermediate/advanced players who want to enhance their skills by repetitive drilling. It is important to note that these classes are not suitable for absolute beginners. Each session focuses on a specific set of skills, such as serving, dinking, volleys, and drop shots. The fees for these lessons vary depending on residency.
